Open House New York 2014: TWA Flight Center

For this year's Open House New York, I took a trip to see Eero Saarinen's TWA Flight Center.  I was lucky enough to grow up near one of his buildings, so I've always admired his work.  Since there were tons of others taking photos as well, I focused mostly on some of the details that interested me in particular.  You can see selects from the shots I took, here.

LA trip

We were just in the LA area for a wedding and had a chance to visit with a few friends. They treated us to some amazing food. Any LA friends should make sure to check out Good Girl Dinette in Highland Park.  I made two photo collections: one for street art and architecture and the other for food and friends.  Check them out here.

Yesterday I went to the old Domino Sugar Factory in Brooklyn to see the new Kara Walker exhibit, entitled "A Subtlety".  It's being put on by Creative Time.  You can get info here.
I took a series of photos and you can view an edited version HERE.

A great Spring day in Brooklyn, 2014

We walked through Prospect Park yesterday and went to the Botanical Garden and Brooklyn Museum to see the Swoon and Ai Weiwei exhibit.  The weather was absolutely perfect- not too hot and not too cold.  Here's a link to four short photo-sets: cherry blossoms in the Botanical Garden, the Swoon exhibit, the Ai Weiwei exhibit, and some fun shots.

Martha Burgess' Cake Sit, Brooklyn, NY

I had a chance to photograph a Cake Sit, recently.  I had never been to one before, but know the artist and one of the participants was a good friend of ours, so we were happy to check it out.
